Life On The Low: creepin' with hip hop (Volume 1)

I recently found the blogger Katlynne LaSalle, her blog is called My Downlow life. And from the moment I read her first entry I was hooked on her blog. Kat is a 20 something fly bitch from the West Coast who is married and just recently found out her husband was cheating on her. From the moment she decides to takes control and not just be another woman scorned she gets into all kinds of crazy ass situations, fantasies and meets the most prominent men in LA. Kat has now taken her story and wrote a delish book called Life on the Low: Creeping with Hip Hop. I ordered the book which took about 2 wks to be delivered, and once I had the book in my hands I did not put it down for 3 days. I read it, lusted for Kat and all the lovers she mentions in her books. I became fascinated by her and the men she came across. LOVED the book. Very erotic at times, but still Kat kept it classy and kept my attention so you too would lust for more. I finished the book and was upset by the ending, I was an emotional wreck as Kat was in the end of the book and with my mouth open, closed thebook and daydreamed of what would become of Kat and the men in her life. Kat is now writing a sequel to this delicious book. And I can not wait for it! Its an easy read, it has sexy characters and as a woman you can totally relate to Kat and her experiences on being heartbroken over a man she thought would always be there for her. I highly recommend it and it will take you away on a journey from LA to the Hamptons from her being in Law School to her creeping w the hottest Hip Hop artists. Check it out!
You can buy the book here on Amazon, I know you will love it. You can also follow her here on Twitter.

Birthday Pictures

All dressed up:

Dinner @ Cuba Libre in the Tropicana:

Feliz Cumpleanos

Last Saturday, Dec.5th was my 33rd birthday and I celebrated in Atlantic City with 15 of my closest girlfriends! What an amazing time we had! The weather, in December fashion was cold, rainy and at time dangeorous as we were driving to Atlantic City but thank God we all made it there safely.

We stayed at The Chelsea Hotel, which is a breath of fresh air from the Borgata and the Water Club. I HATE the Water Club as I was there this past Summer and their service SUCKED big time. I paid almost $500 for a room and the staff there had the biggest attitude and not very friendly! I will NEVER stay there again, at least not for a room that I pay for. Anyhoot......The Chelsea Hotel is young, hip and the newest hang out hotel for yong Hollywood as the Kardashian sisters often stay there and host parties at their lounge, The Fifth.

My Birthday dinner was at Cuba Libre and hosted by yours truly. The food was delisious and quite athentic. The staff was amazing and pretty much let me and my friends do whatever we wanted as far as where we wanted to sit, the pictures we were all taking and the amount of noise we were causing! There were 15 of us after all.

After dinner we changed to our party dresses and went back to Cuba Libre for some Spanish music and then went to Providence! We flirted with locals, w tourist and toasted to me turning 33 and for me having such fabulous friends to share my birthday with. I am not very close with family so my friends mean the world to me!

After drinking I proceeded to go gambling at the Tropicana and won $250 in the slot machine w the game "Wheel of Fortune" I couldnt believe it and took my winnings cashed out and put it in my bag, so that I could go shopping the next day!

Next day we had a lovely brunch at Country Kitchen on the boardwalk. After stuffing ourselves we headed to the outlets by the Borgata and I shopped a lil. Sales everywhere!

I will post pics in another entry since I don't know how to format the pics the way I want them.

Christian Siriano for Payless! YES Payless!!!

I came across Christians collection for Payless from people buzzing...I did some research and I saw his collection for Payless and I have to say me likey ALOT! I mean yeah sure its Payless, but with the collaboration of well knows designers and Payless you will be surprised at the high quality of these shoes. I know people will stay say, Payless? Listen I can't afford to wear &1,000 shoes all the time. Do I love to buy Louboutins, YSLs and GUCCIs? Of course I do, what women doesn't? But I like to make smart purchases now. If I spend $700 on a pair of shoes I want to make sure its for a timeless shoe that I will wear over and over and over.

This is why this Payless collection is so awesome! Great sylish shoes from a designer that is getting alot of buzz. These boots here are super cute, the color is gorgeous and will bring life to any any outfit or LBD. I just ordered them myself, and I dare anyone to give me shit about wearing Payless shoes. A true Fashionista will wear whatever she is comfortable in, no matter where it came from!

In Case you do not know who Christian Siriano is or you've been living under a rock for the past 2 yrs, here is a lil more on Christian Siriano:
Christian Siriano, 23, was born to design. Raised by a creative family in Annapolis, Maryland, Christian began designing at just 13 years old and attended the Baltimore School for the Arts and the American Intercontinental University in London, where he interned with punk legend Vivienne Westwood, and with Alexander McQueen. Upon returning to the United States and moving to New York City, Christian's big break came when he earned a spot on season four of Bravo's hit program Project Runway. Despite fierce competition, Christian became the show's youngest winner, fan favorite, and a rising star in the fashion world. Since winning, Christian has designed for a growing list of celebrity clients which includes: style icon Victoria Beckham; supermodels Heidi Klum and Alessandra Ambrosio; actresses Mena Suvari, Vanessa Williams, Becki Newton, Maggie Grace, Tori Spelling, Shailene Woodley, Kristen Johnston, Katrina Bowden, and Whoopi Goldberg in her role as host of the 2008 Tony Awards; and singers Lady GaGa, Pink, Estelle, Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger and the Pussycat Dolls, Thalia, and Kimberley Locke. He has signed on to design a full couture collection to appear in the upcoming film Eloise in Paris, starring Uma Thurman. Christian's current projects include joining the likes of Abaete and Alice + Olivia in creating a recurring line of shoes and bags for Payless which first became available in September 2009. He also created a line of makeup for Victoria's Secret that was sold in stores around the country beginning in August 2009, the colors for which were inspired by ancient Egypt and complement his Fall 2009 collection. He will premiere a special holiday collaboration with Starbucks in November, and collaborated last year with Puma. Between his design projects, Christian has also written a style guide titled Fierce Style: How to Be Your Most Fabulous Self, available now, and he will embark on a book tour in the fall. Christian Siriano shows a full collection every season as part of New York Fashion Week, with past shows being sponsored by LG, Sprint, Victoria's Secret, Cibu International, and Aveda. Echoing his comments that Christian is "his generation's Marc Jacobs," Tim Gunn has remained a supporter since Christian's time on Project Runway. "I'm extremely proud of him," he stated to Newsday. "He really is the next great American fashion designer, I'm confident of it."

I have been the worst blogger in the past few months, I really don't mean to be but with all the shit going on in my life lately it is hard for me to even get a few minutes to update and when I do have some time all I want to do is sleep or go out and get drunk. My Birthday is just 5 days away, hence the pink ballon! I will be celebrating the 33rd birthday in Atlantic City! I am sure I will have lots of stories, pics and fuckery to comment about next wk. Stay tuned....
